BPP University Leeds
Haddletons is delighted to be working with all of the major universities across Yorkshire to organise an event at BPP law school in Leeds. With a significant percentage of businesses identifying the acquisition of talented employees as their number one headache we are taking an innovative new approach to help them to attract young people with keen legal minds to consider a range of non-traditional legal roles.
As a team of experienced in-house lawyers, we understand how organisations operate internally and the opportunities on offer. We are committed to helping aspiring lawyers discover the benefits of a career in house.
James Haddleton will speak at the event about the benefits and opportunities available working as an in-house legal counsel.
National and regional businesses will be attending, offering a range of short term paid internships across legal, compliance, data protection, IT and more. Employers that have confirmed attendance include Asda, Arla Foods, Haddletons, IDHL, KCOM, Morrisons, Dr Oetker, Jet2, Sulzer, Yorkshire Building Society, BUPA, Social Work England and the Government Legal Department.
The opportunity will include flexible, CV building experiences for UK and international students looking to qualify as solicitors, barristers or paralegals. Also included are longer term opportunities such as training contracts or alternative career options within a business. There will be breakout sessions with speakers to find out how they succeeded in developing an in-house legal career.
If you are a student who is interested in finding out more or an employer looking to take on and develop your own in house legal counsel sign up for the event.
