A year on from the introduction of the new UK Data Protection Act 2018 (GDPR) Haddletons will present a bespoke webinar for members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
The webinar will look at the challenges faced and the lessons learned since the introduction of new regulations. It is designed to help chartered accountants evaluate how compliant they are and what steps they need to take in the future.
Full of practical advice and expert insight to help members understand and mitigate potential risks, the event will focus on:
- Understanding the state of compliance/enforcement around GDPR highlighting recent breaches and the fines incurred.
- Understanding some of the learning points that have emerged since GDPR came into force and explaining how to train staff on these issues to avoid them in future.
- Horizon scanning – helping accountancy firms identify and monitor key topics to avoid incurring stiff penalties (up to 4% of annual turnover).
James Haddleton of Haddletons will present the webinar from the ICAEW’s offices in London and all members will be invited to access it online.
